Hello all my friends and family. The word for this week is Gratitude. The definition of gratitude is: “the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness. What are you grateful/thankful for? I can’t even begin list all of the things that I am thankful for. I am truly thankful for my wonderful husband, my children, and my granddaughter. And above all I am thankful to God for loving me so much that He gave His only begotten son Jesus so that I might have everlasting life.
The following is an awesome word from my friend Minister Deon Pennyman. Be Blessed
The Gift of Gratitude
Gifts can come in all kinds of shapes and forms. The size of the gift should not matter to the person who receives. It should be the very thought of someone thinking enough to provide a token of love. During this time of year, as a society we wait in anticipation and expectation of gifts from those who love and appreciate our sense of existence. What if the gift does not measure up to what I think?
As Christian, we must understand the gift of gratitude is solely built on the relationship with the King of Kings. For God so loved the world that that he gave his only begotten Son; that whosoever believe in him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16). We did not deserve it, but God did it for us because the love he has for his people. Do we realize that Jesus is the ultimate gift measured up so we could be chosen for such a time as this? I will seek after the gift of gratitude knowing a grateful heart will worship in the Spirit of Thanksgiving.
